When our daughter, Becky, started her riding career, we had no idea how expensive a sport she was undertaking, nor how to choose a barn, trainer, and horse-in fact, we didn’t even realize that choosing a horse was in our future. However, it turned out that riding brought new parenting challenges not foreseen.  This section is our attempt to provide the new riding parent, or even an experienced riding parent that has made some of the mistakes we did, with a preview of what’s coming.
