ABOUT CAMP
We specialize in beginners through advanced campers! Arborwood's camp is not your usual horse camp - it is much, much
more! Not only do we provide real riding lessons in which riders optimize and hone their riding and jumping skills, we
also work hard to ensure each camper thoroughly grasps horsemanship and safety knowledge. Further, our top of the line camp
treats its campers! Arborwood doesn't do a lot in terms of "arts and crafts" (aside from decorating saddle pads),
instead, we take our campers on fun and educational trips.
Camp runs Monday through Friday from 9am - 4pm,
and boys and girls ages 6 through 14 are eligible to participate.
Each camper receives a full riding lesson
each day, horse care instruction, and structured learning time with a horse/pony. Campers must bring their own lunches and
drinks. Arborwood provides snacks and water. In addition to morning lessons, camp days often include games on horseback, trail
rides, camp horse shows, bareback riding, and, of course, every camper's favorite activty - "horseless horse shows".
Full, week-long sessions of camp come with a Friday Fun Trip. Past trips took campers to Rapids Water Park, Snorkelling, Skate
Zone, IMAX theater, Bowling, Ice Skating, McCarthur's Wildlife Sanctuary and the beach.
Shorter
camp weeks include "mini-trips' to fun places like Friendly's, Tackeria, and Starbucks.
