Although your son or daughter may dream of representing their country riding at a future
Olympics, the odds say they will receive the benefits from riding in different ways.
The benefits you can expect are the respect, discipline, and self control gained by
riders as they learn they must prove these attributes to the horse. The horse doesn’t respond to
tantrums, drama, or pouting.
The care of the horse inspires responsibility and respect. For some, it is the first time
that something or someone else is dependent on them.
The physical part of riding involves balance, coordination, space-time-speed assessment, and control
of a creature far more powerful than the rider.
The
self confidence gained when this is accomplished is immeasurable.
